So good! And not expensive and service is quick. Will definitely be coming here often for takeout.

The Takeaways: * Crispy, crunchy, mouthwatering hot chicken and it is served fresh out of the grease hot. * The cole slaw on the sandwich meshed well with the flavor of the chicken. I personally didn't like how stringy it was. It kept falling off of the sandwich. * The service was pretty fast. * This restaurant has 4 menu items so it shouldn't be hard to make up your mind. * The music was rocking and like I always do, I started dancing. Overall it's a good place for my 1st time there. I always give great reviews for my 1st visit because I receive a good experience the 1st time. I'll let you all know how it goes the 2nd time around. 5 Stars

Crispy, juicy, and spicy chicken at an unbeatable price! Two chicken sandwiches and fries for only $9.99. The chicken is massive, always bigger than the buns. I typically don't like the slaw at most hot chicken sandwich places but theirs is amazingly fresh and delicious, it really brings the sandwich together. Their spice levels are pretty legit, medium already has a decent kick to it and hot is where I find it with enough heat but still enjoyable. If you have been to other hot chicken places like Wooboi or Hangry Joe's, their spice levels are comparable if that gives you a reference point. Although some places have better spice/seasoning on their chicken, Red Bird has the best value and slaw hands down! The chicken rice bowl is also pretty good, like a fusion chicken tender halal rice bowl. Fries are solid as well. If you like sauces, don't forget to try their sauces on the side, there are four types. Service is friendly and tends to be efficient but they do get pretty busy during peak hours. There's limited seatings with about five booths inside and two or three outdoor tables, more of a takeout spot.

FOOD We had their #2 combo (two sandwiches and fries) for $9.99. For the portions, this was an incredible deal. We got the hot spicy level, and it had a good kick to it. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it'd be, so when returning I would get their extra hot instead. The fries were also pretty good, and the variety of sauces were to die for. Their classic sauce was the typical fried chicken sauce but had a stronger paprika flavor, which I enjoyed. Their mustard sauce was light and airy but still packed a punch, and their ranch and hot sauces were also solid options. My only complaint was that the sauces were a little on the watery end, so would have preferred them a bit thicker. DRINKS The staff provided us complementary fountain drinks! There's options ranging from Coke, Sprite, to Hi-C. SERVICE The staff are incredibly kind and friendly! The guy at the front was very personable and told us about the history and expansion of the place. AMBIANCE The interior is very neat and tidy, and there are two bathrooms in the back (separated by gender). 3-4 booths are available at the side of the store, but it is largely a grab-and-go establishment so the waiting area takes up most of the space. PARKING Ample parking is available in the lot shared by neighboring stores.

This is our GO TO for a cheap but absolutely delicious quick dinner! Two chicken sandwiches and fries for something like $11.99 - can you actually beat that in the DMV??? Their hot chicken sandwich is delicious with this like broccoli coleslaw mix that we almost always order a side of (that good) and they have pretty decent fries as well. For the price, you can't beat it and it is seriously excellent quality! Service is pretty speedy too

Stopped in on a whim. When they say RED bird they are not exaggerating. Even their most mild chicken (original) is hot and spicy. Too hot for me unfortunately. My throat and stomach burned after eating my sandwich. The single sandwich does NOT come with fries which I didn't realize til after ordering. I did like that they include cheese and slaw on it. I also brought home the chicken rice bowl for someone and tasted it. The rice and salad helped dissipate some of the spice at least but the red bird is not for me!

I love Nashville hot chicken, and this place makes the top of my list. It's hard to find any place in the DMV with a parking lot, and this restaurant is in a strip mall with plenty of parking! The food was delicious. It was the perfect spice, and the sauce just creates the perfect balance. To put the cherry on top of the cake, the prices are extremely affordable. This place is the perfect combo of affordable and appetizing.

Yum! And I can't believe what a steal it is! We got a sandwich meal, bowl and a cheese fries. We got hot as our heat level and it was yum! Not too hot just a nice spice. The total bill was under $40 for 3 adults.. that's a steal nowadays. The staff was very friendly and answered several questions since it was our first visit. The meals are huge. We could have shared for sure! There was a lot of sauce on the fries. Next time I would just get the chicken and cheese on it and use the sauce bottles they had on the table. Only four booths for seating... so plan to hit a bit so busy time or maybe grab your order to go. Definitely going to be on our rotation!

Intro: I just got a chance to try Red Bird Hot Chicken & Fries after a few weeks and it was totally worth the wait! Vegan Friendly: I think just by the name its is not sadly but if you have non vegan friends tell them to check it out! Decor: I love the use of Red as the main color but it was cozy as the lighting. Also the Wall has a some fun sayings on it and I love how each table has all the sauces and lots of napkins which is great so and the vibe was dope buttt it for sure still felt like a cafeteria bit Food Breakdown: The menu at The Red Bird Hot Chicken & Fries was shockingly diverse as they offering a range of options to suit various preferences. From their signature hot chicken to flavorful fries to Rice Bowls Food Highlights: The Chicken I am happy to say was great! But sadly the spicy level really disappointed me. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and all the sauce were solid except for there red sauce which I really would avoid Portion Size: Portion sizes at The Red Bird Hot Chicken & Fries was great for the price! I was sad though that the Chicken in the rice bowl really wasn't enough but the size of the sandwich was good Price: THIS IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THIS PLACE. FOR A PLACE IN NOVA OMGGGGGGGGGG PRICE WAS SOOOOO REFRESHINGGGGG Would I go Back: Absolutely! The Red Bird Hot Chicken & Fries has earned a spot on my list of Chicken spots, and I can't wait to return to try more of their menu.
